Sometimes AI Just Makes Stuff Up – Stand to Reason
AI developments are moving at lightning speed, at least from my perspective. A few years ago, few had heard of, let alone used, ChatGPT. Now most people I talk to have tried it out or similar applications. These platforms can do a lot, but they are not always reliable. Amy Hall of Stand to Reason shares some examples of Google Bard (now Gemini) making up information and even doubling down on the fictional results with fictional sources. This confirms what I have read elsewhere of AI intentionally providing wrong answers in some instances. If you’re using these platforms, check your work!
Enjoy your weekend!
